About eCHAT:
IIHM is organising eCHAT - as an online platform for Common Hospitality Admission Test for IIHM - India's Best private Hotel Management College and Largest School Chain. Organizer of World’s Biggest Culinary Heats “Young Chef Olympiad” with participation from over 50 Countries.
eCHAT stands for Common Hotel and Hospitality Admissions Test. It is a unique Management Aptitude Test based on state of the art Web technology and web solutions availed by thousands of students. IIHM organizes eCHAT every year as an online platform for admissions in Hotel and Hospitality Management.
Nature of eCHAT exam:
eCHAT is an objective type of test with multiple-choice answers. It comprises Test of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude Test, Test of Reasoning and General Awareness. There will be 50 questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
Eligibililty of eCHAT exam:
Candidates who have passed/appeared in Class 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects are eligible for eCHAT 2024. Upper age limit : 22 years as on 1st July, 2025

India: Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Goa
International: Bangkok (Thailand) and Samarkand (Uzbekistan)
General Instructions:
- Students applying for the session2025 must appear for e-CHAT Online Exam & Personal Interview. Selection will be on the basis of e-CHAT Score & Personal Interview.
- This Year IIHM will be conducting Online (eCHAT from Home) Entrance Exam and Video Call Interviews to promote Social Distancing and students can experience the entire process from the comfort of their homes.
- Your application for appearing in the Admission Test must reach us positively by 4 days before the exam date. The date and time of the Test would be mentioned in your ADMIT SLIP.
- Admit Slip would be sent to individual candidates by e-mail only.
- Give all exams from the comfort of your home and you do not have to go anywhere for the same
